Weekend away with the mountain biking club at Afan in south Wales.
The first trail today was the skyline the first long climb wasn't as bad as I thought it was going tobe for some reason I can climb really well on single track but on fire roads I struggle.
We all ended up doing about half of the skyline due to a couple of broken bits on peoples bikes and we wanted lunch. The downhill back to the centre was really good fun single track almost all the way rocks and steps everywhere.
After lunch we done the "whites" trail the same first climb as the skyline but the trail splits at the top. We chose to have a go down the black run, wow great fun a bit of northshore at the top, berms all the way down with drops and doubles. The last bit on the trail was really scary I was first down the hill so I was half way down it before I realised how steep and rocky it was, well past the point of being able to stop, I just hung on and let the sus on the bike do the work. Out of 14 of us 11 walked down! I may of done if I'd had a proper look at it.
Another long bit of single track then a down hill section of fireroad that be just flew down fastest ive ever been on a bike, could smell the brakes burning when the 90 degree bend jumped up, lucky there was a run off area!
I had a bit of a fall on the next section on a bit of north shore I cut a corner a bit tight and the rear wheel dropped off I stopped and then fell rather than having a full on crash.

Great days biking
